Lions Gibraltar bring in England-Nigeria winger Emmanuel Abudiore from Glacis United

Emmanuel Abudiore, the 23-year-old England-Nigeria winger, has joined Lions Gibraltar from Glacis United on a free transfer.

The right winger completed the move on 16 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Lions Gibraltar until 30 June 2027. He becomes the latest player to switch clubs within the Gibraltar Football League, having spent the previous part of his career with Glacis United.

Abudiore joined Glacis United from Broadbridge on a free transfer on 29 January 2026. His arrival at Broadbridge followed another free move from FC Lancing in September 2025, giving him a series of club changes across the previous year.

The transfer keeps Abudiore in Gibraltar’s top domestic competition, where Lions Gibraltar and Glacis United compete in the Gibraltar Football League. He has also been involved in the Rock Cup during his time in the country.

Born on 23 October 2002, Abudiore is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria. His preferred position is on the right side of the attack, making him an attacking addition to the Lions Gibraltar squad.

His move to Lions Gibraltar is the latest stage in a career that has seen him remain in the Gibraltar football system after arriving from Broadbridge. The player’s record also includes an earlier spell with FC Lancing before his switch to Broadbridge in the 2025-26 season.

Lions Gibraltar have now secured Abudiore’s services without a transfer fee, with the winger’s new contract running through the end of June 2027.
