Mounir Obbadi Joins Lille as Adama Traoré Heads to Monaco
As part of a transfer shuffle between Ligue 1 clubs, Mounir Obbadi has officially signed for Lille OSC, while Adama Traoré makes the switch to AS Monaco.
Obbadi, a 32-year-old Moroccan international, completed his medical and inked a two-year deal with Lille. The move comes after a season on loan at Hellas Verona in Italy’s Serie A.
LOSC welcomed their new midfielder with optimism:
“Mounir Obbadi arrives at LOSC today with the prospect of bringing his technical qualities. His experience in Ligue 1 will also prove invaluable,” the club announced on its official website.
Obbadi brings a wealth of experience from both French and international football, and is expected to bolster Lille’s midfield following Traoré’s departure.
