Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi begins Manchester City chapter after medical

Manchester City have completed the formalities for the signing of Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille in a deal worth €95m (£82m), with a further €5m in potential add-ons.

Bouaddi has passed his medical in Manchester and all documents relating to the transfer have been signed by both clubs, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

“ Ayyoub Bouaddi completed his medical at Manchester City and joins the club on a €95m plus €5m deal from Lille. All documents have been signed by the clubs,” Romano wrote on X.

The move brings to an end Bouaddi’s time with Lille and marks the beginning of his new spell at Manchester City after the Premier League club agreed a significant package for the young midfielder.

The transfer had been moving towards completion during the current summer transfer window, with the medical and signed paperwork representing the final major steps before the deal could be formally concluded.

Bouaddi arrives at Manchester City after making a strong impression for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup. Despite his young age, he played an important role in the national team’s midfield and was regarded as one of the key figures in that area of the pitch.

His performances at international level helped underline his standing as an outstanding young talent, while his move from Lille places him at one of the leading clubs in European football.
