Lille linked with Real Madrid midfielder Thiago Pitarch in Ligue 1 move

Spanish-Moroccan midfielder Thiago Pitarch is being linked with a move from Real Madrid to Lille, with the French club identified as a possible destination.

Pitarch, 19, has yet to make an appearance for Real Madrid in LaLiga this season, having been named in the club’s senior squad after joining from RM Castilla on 1 March 2026. His contract with the Spanish club runs until 30 June 2027.

The central midfielder’s market value is listed at €20m, although no transfer fee has been reported for the potential move to Lille. The rumour comes as Pitarch remains without a league appearance in the current campaign.

Pitarch won the UEFA Youth League with Real Madrid’s under-19 side in the 2025-26 season and subsequently helped Spain win the European Under-19 Championship in 2026. He began his development at Atletico Madrid before spells with Getafe and Leganes, joining Real Madrid’s academy in 2023.

Lille are exploring the possibility of taking the teenager to Ligue 1, but the move remains unconfirmed. Pitarch’s current deal means Real Madrid retain him under contract for the 2026-27 season.
