Lille appears ready to part ways with Idrissa Gueye this summer. The Senegalese international, who has been a key figure in the Mastiffs’ midfield, is now on the verge of a move to the Premier League.
According to France Football, negotiations with Southampton are very advanced, with the English club reportedly offering over €10 million plus bonuses to secure Gueye’s services — a fee that exceeds Lille’s initial valuation.
Still under contract until June 2018, the 25-year-old played 32 Ligue 1 matches this season, scoring 4 goals and delivering 2 assists. His performances have clearly caught the attention of the Saints, who see him as a valuable addition to their squad.
