LIGUE1: DESCHAMPS LOVES AFRICAN PLAYERS!

In an interview with RFI, Didier Deschamps, the coach of the French national team, acknowledged the abundance of talented African players in Ligue 1, the top professional football league in France. While Deschamps refrained from naming specific players, he emphasized the undeniable talent present among African footballers in the league.

Deschamps, mindful of maintaining objectivity, stated, “There are many! But I would lose my objectivity by naming them because I have trained some of them. I’m not here to highlight some more than others. But it is undeniable, African players are very talented.”

The French coach also addressed the importance of support from French supporters for the national team as they aim to qualify for the 2014 World Cup. Deschamps acknowledged the significant break and disenchantment experienced in 2010, emphasizing the crucial role of results and attitudes in shaping public sentiment. He called for support from the fans, recognizing that while the French public may not be as passionate as those in Brazil or Italy, positive results on the field can enhance the team’s connection with supporters
