Despite a less-than-satisfactory first half of the season, Lyon currently sits in 10th place with 19 points. Henri Bedimo, the Cameroonian defender for OL, views this as a temporary setback. He believes that the return phase of the season will present a different scenario for Lyon.
Bedimo expressed optimism, stating, “If we look at this moment, it’s true that we are very far from the podium. The ranking shows it, but the championship is still very long too. After Thursday’s match, we will have four matches left in the league. That’s twelve points, and then we’ll have the return phase. I hope that we have overcome our challenges with injuries and absences, and we will have to show a different face during the return phase.”
Emphasizing the need to manage the remaining four matches effectively before the break, Bedimo remains hopeful about Lyon’s ability to perform well in the latter part of the season. He points out that the club has a history of managing the end of the season successfully, and he hopes for a similar outcome this season.
