Salomon Kalou had an impactful performance for Lille as they hosted Bastia, securing a 2-1 victory. After Ludovic Genest gave Bastia an early lead in the 3rd minute, Kalou responded with a quick double. His first goal came from an instant dribble and shot in the 17th minute, followed by a lobbed shot past the advanced goalkeeper Landreau in the 22nd minute. The result allowed Lille to stay in contention with Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco at the top of the table.
