Monaco successfully appealed the decision by the Professional Football League (LFP) to deduct two points from the club at the beginning of the new season. The higher appeal committee of the French Football Federation canceled the withdrawal of the two points, following Monaco’s appeal. However, the club will still play one match behind closed doors as part of the sanctions. The initial penalty was imposed due to incidents during the 37th day of Ligue 2 in the 2012-2013 season.
