The second half of the PSG-Monaco match, corresponding to the 6th day of Ligue 1, did not live up to the excitement and goal-scoring action of the first period. Despite both teams attempting to break the deadlock, the second half saw more missed opportunities and a lack of precision from the players.
PSG had some notable chances in the second half, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming close to scoring in the 60th minute after a pass from Lavezzi. However, the Swede failed to convert the chance with a backheel attempt. Edinson Cavani, who had been relatively quiet throughout the match, also had a late header that almost beat Monaco’s goalkeeper, Danijel Subasic.
On the other side, Radamel Falcao was discreet in the second half, and neither team managed to find the back of the net. AS Monaco retained their position at the top of Ligue 1 with 14 points, while PSG occupied the third spot with 12 points.
