Olympique de Marseille (OM) was held to a 1-1 draw by FC Nantes in the opening match of the 35th day of Ligue 1. This result was a missed opportunity for Marseille to increase the pressure on their competitors in the race for the title and European spots.
Despite the draw, Marseille remains in sixth place in the standings, trailing two points behind Lyon, who will play their match against Bastia on Sunday.
Following the match, Marseille defender Nicolas Nkoulou shared his thoughts on the result: “This point from the draw is not enough for us. We wanted all three points, but Nantes proved to be a very enterprising team. We struggled to manage difficult moments. As for Europe, we still believe in it. There are still matches left, and we will fight until the end.”
