“We had a good start to the championship before experiencing some setbacks. Overall, it remains satisfactory. Our objective is to secure a podium finish and qualify for the Champions League. Having experienced this prestigious competition this season, I hope to be part of it again next season. It’s enormous,” Romao expressed on the official Lorient website.
Regarding the upcoming match against Lorient, Romao emphasized the importance of putting in a strong performance to secure three points. “All our matches are important. We need to deliver a great performance against Lorient to secure the victory. It’s crucial for us to perform well at home, although it won’t be easy.”
Reflecting on his time at Lorient, Romao spoke positively about his experience. “My assessment of Lorient is positive. I have only good memories of it. From my arrival from Grenoble in June 2010 to my departure for Marseille last year, I felt significant progress in my game. I developed tactically, improved ball possession, and enhanced my positioning at FCL. I attribute my tactical rigor to my years at Lorient.”
Despite his absence on the pitch, Romao expressed his happiness about reuniting with his former teammates at the Vélodrome. “It’s always nice to see friends again. I’ve always had good relationships with my teammates, the staff, and the club’s employees. So, I’m looking forward to seeing them at the Vélodrome on Saturday afternoon.”
