the season, Eddy Gnahoré has yet to secure his long-term future at Amiens SC. Although the French-Ivorian midfielder has enjoyed a convincing campaign in Ligue 1, his stay in Picardy is not guaranteed beyond the current season. While Amiens hold an option to make his move permanent, Gnahoré could ultimately continue his top-flight career with another French club.

At 25 years old, Gnahoré has steadily built a solid reputation in Ligue 1 thanks to his consistency, physical presence, and attacking contribution from midfield. His performances have not gone unnoticed, particularly by AS Saint-Étienne. According to Poteaux-Carrés, the Greens’ coaching staff are closely monitoring the midfielder’s situation and view him as a potential reinforcement for next season. Saint-Étienne are reportedly keen to strengthen their midfield with players capable of combining intensity and technical quality—qualities Gnahoré has regularly displayed at Amiens.

Interestingly, Eddy Gnahoré is already familiar with Saint-Étienne’s training ground at L’Étrat. The midfielder had a trial with the club back in 2013, which ultimately did not lead to a contract. Nearly a decade later, his development and maturity have significantly improved, and his profile is now being reconsidered in a very different context. Amiens coach Christophe Pélissier, who has played a key role in Gnahoré’s progress, believes the former France U18 international has all the attributes required to perform at the highest level of Ligue 1.

However, Saint-Étienne are not alone in the race. According to Le 10 Sport, OGC Nice have also expressed interest in the Franco-Ivorian midfielder. The Côte d’Azur club are said to have made initial inquiries to better understand the conditions of a potential transfer. Nice are reportedly attracted by Gnahoré’s versatility and experience, as they look to strengthen their squad with players already proven in Ligue 1.

Statistically, Eddy Gnahoré’s season supports the growing interest. Under Christophe Pélissier’s guidance, he has scored four goals and delivered two assists in Ligue 1, impressive numbers for a central midfielder. Beyond the statistics, his influence in Amiens’ midfield has been evident, providing balance between defensive duties and offensive projection. His physical strength, work rate, and ability to arrive late in the box have made him one of Amiens’ most reliable performers this season.

Despite his strong form, Amiens SC face a difficult decision. While activating the purchase option would allow them to retain a key player, competition from more ambitious Ligue 1 clubs could complicate negotiations. Palermo, who still own the player’s contract, will also have a say in his future, particularly if multiple offers emerge.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Eddy Gnahoré’s situation remains open. Whether he stays at Amiens, joins Saint-Étienne, or moves to Nice, his performances this season suggest he is ready to take the next step in his career. One thing is certain: the midfielder has firmly established himself as a valuable asset in Ligue 1, and his future will be one to watch closely in the coming weeks.
