With a comfortable eight-point lead over the relegation zone, Nantes is edging closer to securing their spot in the league. The Canaries will likely aim to widen the gap between them and the bottom three as they host Bordeaux this Saturday for the 31st round of Ligue 1.

In the absence of Michel der Zakarian, who is still hospitalized, assistant coach Bruno Baronchelli unveiled the squad of nineteen players for the upcoming match against Bordeaux on Thursday. Notably, Papy Djilobodji is sidelined due to a rib injury. However, Nantes can rely on Ismaël Bangoura, who will spearhead the team’s attacking efforts. The Guinean striker will receive support from Togolese international Serge Gakpé in the offensive department.

Regarding Michel Der Zakarian’s condition, Baronchelli provided an update, stating, “He is still in the hospital. It’s improving, but I don’t anticipate his presence on Saturday.”
