Arnold Mvuemba Dismisses Transfer Talk: “I’m Happy at Lyon”
Lyon midfielder Arnold Mvuemba has shut down speculation regarding his future, insisting he feels perfectly settled at Olympique Lyonnais. Despite being under contract until June 2016, questions about his next move have begun to surface—but the former Lorient man isn’t entertaining them.
“I’m happy in Lyon, everything is going well at the moment. I have no reason to have my mind elsewhere,” Mvuemba told reporters.
He also clarified that no discussions are currently taking place regarding a contract extension, but stressed there’s no urgency or concern on his part.
“There are no talks with the club for now, so there’s no reason to talk about my future. I don’t see why I would think about going elsewhere.”
Competition in midfield isn’t something Mvuemba fears. With Fofana, Grenier, and Gourcuff working their way back from injury, Mvuemba expressed his support for their return, welcoming the challenge.
“Competition is part of football. When I came to Lyon, I knew the squad they had—that doesn’t change anything for me. I don’t choose my future based on the other players.”
With consistent performances in Ligue 1 and a calm demeanor off the pitch, Mvuemba appears focused on contributing to OL’s campaign, not on potential transfer rumors.
