Lille’s Enyeama Finds Hope After Draw Against PSG Amid Difficult Season
Lille OSC has been enduring a challenging 2014-2015 campaign, far from the form they displayed last season. With struggles in both Ligue 1 and the Europa League, optimism has been hard to come by for the Dogues. However, a solid performance on Wednesday evening, where LOSC held Paris Saint-Germain to a 1-1 draw in the 16th round of the league, offered a glimmer of hope.
Vincent Enyeama, the experienced Nigerian goalkeeper and one of Lille’s key leaders, shared his thoughts post-match:
“The goal before Christmas is to take as many points as possible. I don’t know what’s going on, we have to keep our heads up. This kind of match against Paris Saint-Germain will be useful to us.“
Despite sitting 15th in the standings, Lille still has a game in hand, which could help them inch closer to the top half of the table. The draw against one of Ligue 1’s powerhouses could be the morale booster they desperately need as the holiday period approaches.
