Olympique Lyonnais faces Guingamp this Saturday in the 12th day of Ligue 1. The Rhone club, currently in 14th place in the Championship, needs a victory after the recent defeat against Monaco. The return of several injured players boosts their chances. Alexandre Lacazette, Lyon striker, expresses confidence in the team’s ability to bounce back.
“I think we will come back,” Lacazette said confidently. “We have just recovered our wounded, including many executives, and after what we have just done in recent months, we know what we must do and not do anymore. Frankly, I don’t think we could do worse than what we did. We have all the elements to believe as well as all the reasons to hope to rise again.”
Last season, Lyon secured third place in the standings after a strong finish. While they couldn’t make it to the Champions League, ending in the play-offs, it was still a commendable achievement. However, this season, finishing on the podium seems challenging given their current position.
