John Utaka, the Nigerian footballer, is currently at the end of his contract with Montpellier, set to expire in June. Despite the uncertainties surrounding his future, Utaka is maintaining a focus on the present and his commitment to Montpellier.

In a recent statement, Utaka emphasized the need to look ahead, particularly to the upcoming match against Nancy. He acknowledged the challenging weather conditions in a recent match against Saint-Etienne and expressed the importance of putting the defeat behind and concentrating on the remaining matches to qualify for the European Cup.

Utaka believes that Europe is still within reach for Montpellier, and he stressed the importance of winning the next match against Nancy. While his contract ends in June, Utaka mentioned that discussions have taken place with clubs in the Gulf countries and Turkey, but nothing concrete has materialized. He expressed his desire to stay focused on Montpellier for the time being and will consider his options later.
