Pape Ndiaye Souaré has been in excellent form for Lille at the start of the championship. The Senegalese international has become a key player for the team, scoring his first goal of the season in a victory against Ajaccio and being the only scorer against Montpellier. Souaré has become an indispensable part of René Girard’s defensive system and is having one of his best seasons in Ligue 1. Despite a previous stint at Lille where he didn’t get much playing time, Souaré credits his loan spell at Reims for helping him develop and gain more experience in Ligue 1. Now an integral part of Lille’s defense, Souaré’s contributions will be crucial for the team’s success in the league.
