Moustapha Diallo has received a significant suspension following an incident during the Monaco-Guingamp match on May 7. The Professional Football League’s (LFP) disciplinary committee has handed down a four-match ban to the Guingamp midfielder for his aggressive challenge on Monaco’s Jérémy Toulalan.
As a result of the challenge, Toulalan suffered a head injury and had to be substituted. Diallo was already sidelined for Guingamp’s recent match against Toulouse, serving the first part of his suspension. This means he will also miss Guingamp’s final game of the season against Marseille.
This is not the first time Diallo has faced disciplinary action this season. He had previously received a four-match ban in November for a tackle on Maxime Gonalons of Lyon.
