AS Monaco, in the 11th day of Ligue 1, will be without their defender Ricardo Carvalho, who is suspended, and may not have the services of João Moutinho. The Portuguese midfielder is uncertain due to an injury to his right thigh.
“He felt something in his thigh and the MRI showed a slight strain. He is very uncertain for Sunday’s match. We are going to wait until the last training session, this Saturday, to decide whether or not to include him in the group ,” said coach Claudio Ranieri.
The coach can, however, count on the return of Layvin Kurzawa, who had a thigh injury and was unavailable for the trip to Reims (3-2).
Claudio Ranieri also said that his team will not underestimate the 11th day opponents, Stade de Reims, and considers the match to be difficult. He stated, “Every team we meet is a problem. That’s how we have to approach each game. There are no easy games in Ligue 1.”
