Modou Sougou Returns for Evian’s Clash with Saint-Etienne
Modou Sougou is set to feature for Evian in their upcoming Ligue 1 match against Saint-Etienne on the 35th matchday. The Senegalese winger has made a full recovery from a knee injury and is back in the squad, alongside fellow returnees Tulio De Melo and central defender Cédric Mongongu.
De Melo also returns after a knee injury, while Mongongu, who missed Wednesday’s match due to an ankle problem, is fit to play. Defender Cédric Cambon, who had to receive stitches to his eyebrow following a collision with a Paris Saint-Germain player, is also included in the squad.
However, the Savoyard side will be without right-back Kassim Abdallah, who is suspended following his red card in the 1-0 defeat to PSG on Wednesday.
Head coach Pascal Dupraz has named a 20-player squad for the match, which includes the following players:
Goalkeepers: Hansen, Laquait
Defenders: Sabaly, Wass, Mongongu, Mensah, Angoula, Cambon
Midfielders: Sorlin, Tié Bi, Koné, Boccara, Barbosa, Betoglio
Forwards: Benezet, Ruben, Bérigaud, Sougou, Nsikulu, De Melo
With a number of key players returning to full fitness, Evian will be hoping to secure a positive result against Saint-Etienne as they look to maintain their league position.
