LIGUE 1/DOSSEVI: “I’M NOT DECISIVE ENOUGH”

Dossevi 13 300x200 1

The 34th round of Ligue 1 commenced yesterday, marking a disappointing start for Lille, who faced an astonishing turnaround in less than ten minutes against Sochaux (3-3). As the season enters its final stretch with only five matches remaining, the competition is becoming increasingly exceptional. Valenciennes is set to host Nancy this Saturday, and while the northerners have nearly secured their season, some additional reassurance is still required. Mathieu Dossevi will be on the pitch, aiming to thwart the plans of the Lorraine team, which is currently in good form.

The Franco-Togolese player has experienced an almost flawless season with the Northern club. In 29 starts, the younger brother of Thomas Dossevi has exhibited impeccable performance. While Dossevi, a striker for Valenciennes, managed to score three goals and provide three assists, he acknowledges that he falls short in terms of being decisive against opposing goals. Reflecting on his season, Dossevi states that it’s his best at VA, particularly in playing time, but he candidly admits that he aspires to be more decisive and consistent. Despite achieving three goals and three assists, Dossevi believes there’s room for improvement, expressing satisfaction with his performance but emphasizing the potential for even greater accomplishments.
