FRANÇOIS KAMANO SCORES FIRST GOAL FOR BASTIA IN LIGUE 1
Guinean talent François Kamano has marked a significant milestone in his young professional career. The 18-year-old forward, who joined SC Bastia earlier this year, scored his first goal in Ligue 1 on Matchday 19, helping his team secure a 1-1 draw against Stade Malherbe Caen.
The goal came in the 21st minute, following a well-constructed move. After a cross from Sébastien Squillaci, Gillet’s shot was parried by Caen goalkeeper Rémy Vercoutre, and the ball fell kindly for Kamano, who confidently slotted it home — a true poacher’s finish.
Despite Caen equalizing in the 75th minute through Julien Féret, Bastia managed to leave with a valuable point away from home.
Kamano’s performance is a bright spot in Bastia’s campaign, as the youngster concludes the first half of the season with:
12 appearances (10 starts)
1 goal
2 assists
A product of Guinea’s Satellite FC, Kamano is proving to be a promising prospect for both club and country. If he continues on this trajectory, he could be a major asset in the second half of the season — and a future regular for the Syli National.
