Four professional players from European leagues have joined Libya’s U-20 national team as part of their preparations for the upcoming African qualifiers in Suez, Egypt.
The reinforcements include goalkeeper Zakaria Qarada from Kayserispor in Turkey, winger Mohamed El-Wadani from Newcastle United in England, Omar Al-Harak from UAE’s Al-Jazira, and Ahmed Al-Mismari from Barcelona, Spain.
This strategic move aligns with head coach Alaa Al-Awjali’s efforts to strengthen the squad by incorporating players with international experience, anticipating a series of challenging encounters during the qualifiers scheduled from November 14 to 26.
In addition to the European-based professionals, the roster features a range of promising Libyan talents competing domestically in both the first and premier divisions.
This blend of international exposure and local talent reflects the technical staff’s vision to balance experience and homegrown skill in pursuit of success on the continental stage.
The African qualifiers bring together youth teams from across the continent, and the Libyan squad is aiming for strong performances to secure a place in Africa’s top competitions.
