Libyan football club Al-Sadaqa has revealed that midfielder Ahmed Al-Abed sustained a serious shoulder injury during their recent friendly match against Al-Suwaihli in the Omar Al-Mukhtar tournament.

The announcement, shared on Al-Sadaqa’s official Facebook page, disclosed that Al-Abed suffered a dislocated shoulder during the Tuesday match.

According to the club, Al-Abed will undergo surgery in the coming hours to address the injury, with his return to the field set to follow after a full recovery.

While the timeline for his return remains uncertain, the club expressed hope for a smooth recovery and confirmed that Al-Abed would resume regular training with the team once he regains full fitness.

Al-Sadaqa suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Al-Suwaihli in the match, following a goalless draw against Al-Ahly Benghazi in a previous fixture in the friendly tournament.

Despite these results, the club has ambitious plans for the upcoming season under the leadership of new head coach Tariq Thabet.

Al-Sadaqa aims to build on its performance, striving for success in the Libyan League as it looks to become a top contender.
