Libya set for Morocco training camp with friendlies against Niger and Liberia
Libya is gearing up for an intensive training camp in Morocco from March 23 to 31, with the aim of preparing for upcoming international competitions.
The team will face Niger national football team and Liberia national football team in two friendly matches during the camp.
The first friendly will see Libya take on Niger, followed by a clash against Liberia, offering coach Aliou Cissé an opportunity to fine-tune his squad ahead of competitive fixtures.
Cissé has named a 20-man squad that blends domestic talent with players plying their trade abroad, signaling a strategic approach to build cohesion while evaluating top performers.
The inclusion of Europe-based players like Al-Musrati, Yousef, Al-Shuraimi, Al-Harak, Al-Mismari, and Baou provides additional quality and experience to the squad. This blend is expected to give Libya tactical flexibility, balancing domestic familiarity with international exposure.
The Morocco camp will not only focus on match preparation but also on fostering team chemistry, particularly among players who rarely feature together due to club commitments abroad. With friendlies against Niger and Liberia, the team will get the chance to test formations, experiment with attacking combinations, and strengthen defensive organization.
Libya’s supporters will be watching closely, as the squad aims to build momentum and confidence ahead of official competitions, with the friendlies in Morocco offering a valuable opportunity for the team to gel under Cissé’s guidance.
The coaching staff is optimistic that this training camp, coupled with competitive match experience, will prepare the team to perform at its best in the forthcoming international calendar.
