Manchester United eye move for Cameroonian forward Karl Etta Eyong amid Barcelona interest

Levante have rejected a €30 million offer from CSKA Moscow for rising forward Karl Etta Eyong, amid strong interest from Barcelona and Chelsea.

The 22-year-old Cameroonian striker has been one of La Liga’s early standouts this season, scoring six goals and registering three assists in his first 12 appearances.

Spanish outlet Marca reports that CSKA Moscow made an ambitious move for Eyong, but Levante swiftly turned down the proposal.

The player himself has also ruled out a move to Russia, despite being offered a significant wage package.

Eyong’s rapid development has drawn attention from several major European clubs, with Barcelona and Chelsea identified as the leading contenders for his signature.

Both clubs are closely tracking his performances and are expected to intensify their interest during the January transfer window.

At Barcelona, sporting director Deco is believed to be prioritising young and affordable attacking options who can add depth to Xavi’s frontline.

Eyong’s blend of pace, power, and clinical finishing has reportedly impressed scouts at Camp Nou.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to target emerging forwards as part of their long-term recruitment strategy.

The Premier League side view Eyong as a player capable of adapting to England’s physical demands while offering creativity in attack.

Levante, however, are determined to retain their star forward at least until the summer.

The club values Eyong’s contribution to their strong start this season and hopes to negotiate an improved contract to fend off suitors.

Eyong’s current deal runs until 2029, putting Levante in a strong negotiating position.
