Leroy Sane is standing firm in contract talks with Bayern Munich after the club offered him a new deal worth €14 to €15 million per year, according to Sky Germany.
Though the winger has become vital under Vincent Kompany—scoring 11 goals and assisting five in the Bundesliga—Sane is not happy with the financial terms. The new deal runs until 2028 but comes with a significant pay cut and no signing bonus, unlike many other top Bayern earners.
In response, Sane has enlisted the services of agent Pini Zahavi, known for brokering high-profile Bayern exits, including those of David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski. Sane is pushing for a signing bonus to balance the reduced salary.
While Bayern’s leadership, including sporting director Max Eberl, remains hopeful of reaching an agreement, the gap in expectations has opened the door to potential suitors. Premier League clubs Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly monitoring the situation closely.
Sane has expressed a desire to stay, but unless terms improve, Bayern risk losing one of their standout players of the season.
