Leroy Sane’s future remains uncertain, but one thing is clear, he’s not rushing toward Saudi Arabia just yet.
Al-Ittihad, the current frontrunner in the Saudi Pro League, has approached the Bayern Munich winger with a big-money offer, but the German international isn’t keen on heading to the Middle East.
Instead, Sane is leaning toward extending his stay in Munich. Bayern have put a performance-based three-year deal on the table, which would keep him at the club until 2028 and earn him around €15 million gross per year. Talks are still ongoing, and the contract is yet to be finalized.
Arsenal also continue to monitor his situation closely and may make a move if negotiations stall.
Sane joined Bayern in July 2020 on a five-year deal worth an initial €45 million, potentially rising to €60 million with add-ons. He made an instant impact, scoring in an 8–0 Bundesliga victory over former club Schalke 04. A few months later, he netted his first Champions League goal for Bayern in a 6–2 win against Red Bull Salzburg.
