Landry Nguemo’s Return to Lens Falls Through – Now Training with Nancy Reserves
Cameroonian international Landry Nguemo, aged 29, will not be signing with Racing Club de Lens after all, despite having taken part in several training sessions with the club. The experienced midfielder had been optimistic about securing a deal but was left disappointed due to financial constraints at Lens.
“I was told that I could no longer sign because the financial envelope had been reduced after the problems the club had experienced,” Nguemo explained.
Currently a free agent since parting ways with Bordeaux in June, Nguemo has returned to Nancy, his former club, where he is now training with the reserve team to maintain fitness.
Still ambitious and eager to relaunch his career, the former Celtic and Bordeaux player is now reportedly awaiting responses from two Turkish clubs and one English side. A versatile and experienced midfielder with international pedigree, Nguemo could still be an asset for a club looking for midfield stability in the January transfer window.
