Lekan Sule joins Glentoran as dual-national winger makes Premiership move
Northern Ireland and Nigeria winger Lekan Sule has joined Glentoran from Rosario FC, completing a move to the Premiership club on 20 August.
The 20-year-old, who plays as a left winger, switches clubs after only a short spell with Rosario. He joined the Conference side from Bangor Amateurs on 1 July 2026, arriving on a free transfer before making the move to Glentoran later in the summer.
Sule’s transfer gives Glentoran a young attacking option as the club strengthens its squad for the Premiership campaign. His immediate move from Rosario also marks a rapid step through the domestic game, having spent only a matter of weeks with his previous club.
Before joining Rosario, Sule had been with Bangor Amateurs, where he moved after leaving HW Welders Under-18s in July 2024. Both of those earlier transfers were completed as free moves, making Glentoran his third senior club since leaving youth football.
Sule’s arrival comes after the start of the 2026-27 season. He had been registered in the National Conference League with Rosario but had not made an appearance before changing clubs, with two possible league matches recorded during that period. He now moves into Glentoran’s Premiership squad as the Northern Irish club’s latest addition.
The winger has represented both Northern Ireland and Nigeria at nationality level, reflecting his dual-national background. His move to Glentoran represents a return to a higher level of domestic competition after his brief spell in the Conference with Rosario.
Glentoran have not disclosed the financial terms of the transfer. No contract length has been announced, but Sule’s registration with the club was completed on 20 August.
Sule has therefore left Rosario FC to join Glentoran, completing his move into the Premiership.
