English Club Leicester City have initiated the processes to sign talented Guinean striker Abdoul Karim Traoré.
Africasoccer can confirm that the club relegated from the English Premier League at the end of the 2024/25 football season has officially submitted a bid to French club Bourg-en-Bresse for the signing of Abdoul Karim Traoré.
Traoré, 18, has been a standout performer for the French lower-division side this season and has made an impression on a number of clubs.
His performance in the Championnat National this season has not only attracted interest from several clubs but have also raised his stocks.
He starred with his performances for Bourg-en-Bresse in the just-ended campaign where he scored three goals to help his club to finish 5th in the French third tier.
Leicester City, looking to strengthen their squad for next season’s campaign in the English Championship, is keen on signing Abdoul Karim Traoré this summer.
Checks have revealed that besides the Foxes, Belgian club Westerlo have also made an offer to Bourg-en-Bresse for the signing of the Guinean prodigy.
Traore is under contract with his French club until 2026 but looks set to move this summer.
