Spanish side, CD Leganes has extended best wishes to teenager Lamini Fati after transferring him to Real Madrid.
The club confirmed the transfer of the Spain-born defender of Guinea-Bissau descent to the Los Blancos on Thursday, January 9.
“CD Leganés and Real Madrid CF have agreed to the transfer of 18-year-old Lamini Fati. The youth player from the white and blue team will leave the pepinera discipline to continue his career with the white team,” the Spanish side said.
In the statement confirming the deal, Leganes wished Lamini the best of luck in the next stage of his career.
“The club wishes him the best of luck in this new stage,” the club noted.
Lamini joined Leganés in the youth team, passing through all the youth teams.
In the 2023/24 season, he was part of the Juvenil ‘A’ team that finished the División de Honor league in third position and reached the quarter-finals of the youth Copa del Rey.
This season, he has played more than 900 minutes with the reserve team, scoring a goal on the 13th matchday of the Third Federation.
