Darlow contract stand-off shapes summer planning

Much of Leeds’ transfer planning is being shaped by the unresolved situation surrounding Karl Darlow, who stepped in as first-choice goalkeeper last season after initially playing second fiddle to summer arrival Lucas Perri.

Darlow is now a free agent, with discussions ongoing over a potential extension, but no agreement has been reached. His status remains central to Leeds’ decision-making as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.

Club sources suggest the situation is being handled without panic, with recruitment plans deliberately slowed as the wider transfer market remains muted during the World Cup period.
