Leeds linked with NEOM midfielder Amadou Kone in transfer rumour

Amadou Kone, the Ivorian-Malian midfielder at Saudi Pro League side NEOM SC, has been linked with a move to Leeds.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder joined NEOM from Stade Reims on 3 July 2025 in a deal worth €13.32m. He has a contract with the Saudi club until 30 June 2029.

Kone made 32 Saudi Pro League appearances, scoring twice and providing one assist. He has also played 40 Ligue 1 matches during his career, having progressed into senior football with Reims after joining their reserve side from AFE in 2023.

His current market value is listed at €7m, below the fee NEOM paid to sign him last year. Kone is left-footed and was born in Bamako, with both Ivory Coast and Mali listed as his nationalities.

Leeds are preparing for life in the Premier League after securing promotion, and Kone’s name has emerged in connection with the club as they assess midfield options. The rumour was recorded on 31 July 2026, with no transfer agreement reported.

Kone remains a NEOM player and is tied to the Saudi club for three more seasons.
