Leandre Kuavita: Belgian-Angolan midfielder joins SK Beveren on free transfer from Standard Liege

Belgian-Angolan midfielder Leandre Kuavita has joined SK Beveren on a free transfer from Standard Liege, signing a contract with the Jupiler Pro League club until 30 June 2028.

The 22-year-old central midfielder makes the move after coming through the ranks at Standard and featuring across Belgium’s top two tiers and cup competitions. He arrives at Beveren with a current market valuation of €700,000 and experience in both domestic league action and European play-off fixtures.

Kuavita, a left-footed central midfielder born in Verviers, has accumulated more than 100 senior appearances across league, play-off and cup competitions. In the Jupiler Pro League and Challenger Pro League combined, he has registered goals and assists while amassing well over 4,000 minutes of playing time, underlining his exposure to regular first-team football despite his age.

At Standard, Kuavita progressed from youth level through the U18 and U21 sides before stepping into the senior set-up. His development also included a spell in Italy with Genoa’s U19s, initially on loan from Standard before returning to Liege and later moving between the first team and SL16 FC.

SK Beveren’s move brings his long association with Standard Liege to an end after several years within the club’s structure. Kuavita now begins a new chapter in Belgian top-flight football under a deal that ties him to Beveren until the summer of 2028.
