The Brussels side took the lead with a goal from De Zeeuw in the 68th minute, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic quickly equalized for PSG in the 70th minute. Despite an impressive 5-0 victory in the first leg against Anderlecht, PSG couldn’t replicate their performance at the Parc des Princes.
Blaise Matuidi, the midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain, expressed his disappointment after the draw. PSG, although still leading Group C, will have to wait before confirming their spot in the round of 16. Matuidi acknowledged Anderlecht as a determined and vengeful opponent, emphasizing that PSG needs to maintain their best form consistently. He highlighted PSG’s ability to come back and score, showcasing the team’s confidence and resilience. Despite the draw, PSG remains at the top of Group C with a three-point lead over Olympiakos and a six-point lead over Benfica.
