On Tuesday, PSG will host Sporting Anderlecht at the Parc des Princes as part of the 4th day of the Champions League, marking the return fixture after Anderlecht suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of PSG two weeks ago.
Having emerged victorious in their first three matches, PSG has the opportunity to secure qualification for the round of 16 with a successful outcome against Anderlecht this evening, fueling aspirations of a potential European title. However, Blaise Matuidi remains cautious, stating, “it’s too early to talk about it. We’re not going to get fired up right now.”
“Our objective is to qualify and maintain the level of our recent performances. We are on the right track, but confirmation is still required. Therefore, we will do everything to respond on Tuesday against Anderlecht and secure a spot in the round of 16,” Matuidi affirmed.
When asked if he already dreams of a UEFA final victory, Matuidi remains grounded, stating, “No, we’re not going to get excited. The Champions League is a highly complex competition with formidable teams. We’ve had a good start to the season, but we’ll take it one step at a time. Let’s navigate through this first round first, and then we’ll see.”
