Having secured their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Chelsea awaits the draw to determine their next opponent. With formidable teams like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain also in contention, Samuel Eto’o isn’t shying away from the challenge.
Following their home victory against Galatasaray (2-0), Eto’o not only reflected on the match but also on the potential opponents for Chelsea in the next round. “Our objective was to progress to the next round, and we achieved that. We made the match look easy by scoring early. Conceding a goal early puts you on the back foot. After the second goal, we focused on managing the game since we have another match on Saturday,” shared the Cameroonian striker with beIN Sport. He then added, “Whether it’s Bayern, Real, Barcelona, or PSG, it doesn’t matter who our opponent is in the quarter-finals. We need to be well-prepared.”
Eto’o’s words serve as a challenge, considering the caliber of the teams in contention, including Real Madrid led by Cristiano Ronaldo, FC Barcelona with Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich featuring Franck Ribéry, and PSG spearheaded by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The draw for the quarter-finals will take place tomorrow in Nyon, Switzerland.
