In an interview with Canal Plus, Hazard outlined Chelsea’s strategy for success against PSG: “The coach is adept at handling such high-stakes encounters. We need to be defensively solid and capitalize on any chances that come our way. We’re aware that PSG, much like Arsenal, enjoys playing an open game. If we apply pressure from the start and seize the initiative, it could make things difficult for them. Ultimately, it boils down to two top teams competing, and the better side will prevail.”
Despite expressing confidence, Hazard acknowledges the challenge ahead: “Every football enthusiast appreciates teams that play attractive football. PSG plays an attractive style, dominates possession, creates scoring opportunities, and showcases remarkable technical skills. Ibrahimovic is particularly impressive to me, but they also have quality throughout the squad with players like Thiago Motta, Yohan Cabaye, and Cavani. Their defensive line is formidable too.”
Lucas Digne and his PSG teammates have been duly cautioned.
