Chinedu Obasi remains hopeful despite the daunting task facing Schalke 04 in their Champions League round of 16 second leg against Real Madrid. Following their significant loss to Real Madrid three weeks ago, Obasi acknowledges the challenge ahead but believes in the possibility of a turnaround.
“We will need a miracle to stop Real Madrid. There was too big a margin in the first leg. However, our recent victory over Hoffenheim (4-0 on March 8) has bolstered our confidence. It’s a big mountain to climb against Real Madrid,” remarked the Nigerian striker, as reported by MTNFootball.com.
Despite the uphill battle, with Schalke trailing 1-6 from the first leg and Real Madrid potentially fielding a less formidable lineup, Obasi remains optimistic about their chances.
