Despite their efforts to challenge the eligibility of a player from Horoya in their Champions League match, Raja de Casablanca’s attempt was unsuccessful. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) rejected their reservation, affirming the qualification of Horoya for the next round.
Raja de Casablanca had lodged a complaint against Mohamed Camara, alleging that he was ineligible to play for Horoya as he was on loan from another club until August 2013. However, CAF deemed this reservation unjustified, allowing Horoya to maintain their qualification.
While this setback is disappointing for Raja de Casablanca, they still have the option to escalate the matter to FIFA for further review.
