Laveena Football Club has officially announced the acquisition of Reda El-Weshi, former striker of Al-Ittihad Al-Iskandary, from the Egyptian Second Division.
At 38 years old, Reda El-Weshi’s transfer to Laveena marks the 18th move in the veteran player’s illustrious career, representing his 16th club.
El-Weshi has previously played for clubs such as Suez Railway, Military Production, and twice with Al-Ittihad Al-Iskandary.
El-Weshi gained prominence following his transfer to Al Ahly in 2007 from Suez Railway for a reported fee of €60,000, according to “Transfermarkt.”
Laveena FC, currently occupying the eighth position in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 24 points, aims to bolster its squad with El-Weshi’s experience and skills.
The seasoned player has an extensive history, having played for clubs including Al Ahly, Suez Railway, Al Mokawloon, Military Production, Telephones of Beni Suef, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in Iraq, Al-Faisaly in Jordan, Al-Qanah, Damietta, and Suez.
In the previous season, El-Weshi contributed significantly to Suez Railway’s success, scoring five goals and playing a crucial role in the team’s promotion from the Egyptian Second Division to the Premier League.
