Laveena FC secures 18th signing with Veteran forward Reda El-Weshi

Laveena Football Club has officially announced the acquisition of Reda El-Weshi, former striker of Al-Ittihad Al-Iskandary, from the Egyptian Second Division.

At 38 years old, Reda El-Weshi’s transfer to Laveena marks the 18th move in the veteran player’s illustrious career, representing his 16th club.

El-Weshi has previously played for clubs such as Suez Railway, Military Production, and twice with Al-Ittihad Al-Iskandary.

El-Weshi gained prominence following his transfer to Al Ahly in 2007 from Suez Railway for a reported fee of €60,000, according to “Transfermarkt.”

Laveena FC, currently occupying the eighth position in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 24 points, aims to bolster its squad with El-Weshi’s experience and skills.

The seasoned player has an extensive history, having played for clubs including Al Ahly, Suez Railway, Al Mokawloon, Military Production, Telephones of Beni Suef, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in Iraq, Al-Faisaly in Jordan, Al-Qanah, Damietta, and Suez.

In the previous season, El-Weshi contributed significantly to Suez Railway’s success, scoring five goals and playing a crucial role in the team’s promotion from the Egyptian Second Division to the Premier League.

Laveena FC, looking to make a mark in the top tier of Egyptian football, sees El-Weshi’s addition as a strategic move to enhance their standing in the league.

The veteran forward brings a wealth of experience and goal-scoring prowess, which could prove invaluable as the club strives to climb higher in the league standings.

As Reda El-Weshi embarks on this new chapter with Laveena FC, football enthusiasts eagerly await to witness the impact of the seasoned striker on the team’s performance in the upcoming matches of the Egyptian Premier League.
