Lassine Sinayoko nears Paris FC transfer after Auxerre reach agreement
Lassine Sinayoko is closing in on a transfer from AJ Auxerre to Paris FC, with a broad agreement already in place between the two clubs and the player’s future seemingly pointing toward the capital.
After days of tension and a stand-off between Auxerre and their Malian striker, calm has returned in Burgundy and negotiations have finally been unlocked.
According to L’Equipe, Auxerre have accepted Paris FC’s proposal for the 26-year-old international, with talks focused on a fee ultimately below the €10 million mark.
Paris FC’s offer of €7 million is in line with a written moral commitment made by the AJA president when Sinayoko extended his contract, and although Auxerre initially tried to push for more, a compromise has now been reached within that range.
One final detail remains before the deal can be signed off. Auxerre insist that Sinayoko returns to the club for a last face-to-face meeting, allowing both sides to clear the air and explain themselves before he leaves. Only after that conversation will the Burgundian club give definitive approval, turning the agreement in principle into a completed transfer.
