Larsen Touré Returns to France with Arles-Avignon After Stint in Bulgaria
Guinean striker Larsen Touré has returned to French football, signing a contract with Ligue 2 side Arles-Avignon after a brief spell abroad.
The 30-year-old, who developed his career in France with clubs including Brest, Grenoble, and Lille, had ventured outside the country in November 2013 when he joined Bulgarian outfit Levski Sofia. However, his time in Bulgaria was short-lived, and Touré has now made his way back to France, signing with Arles-Avignon after successfully passing a medical on Tuesday.
Touré brings a wealth of experience to the club, having not featured in Ligue 2 since the 2007/2008 season. His return is seen as a boost for Arles-Avignon as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming campaign.
Reflecting on his return, Touré said, “I miss France, it’s home. My wife and children, who came with me at the beginning, have also left. The Bulgarian adventure was interesting—the city is beautiful, life is affordable, and the facilities are top-notch. I also spent a lot of time with Kevin Bru, which made the experience better. But I have always hoped to return to France one day.”
Touré’s move marks a new chapter in his career, aiming to reignite his form in familiar surroundings while contributing his seasoned expertise to Arles-Avignon’s ambitions.
