Landry N’Guemo Fails to Secure Move to Standard Liège
Cameroonian international Landry N’Guemo’s hoped-for transfer to Belgian side Standard Liège has hit a snag. The midfielder, whose contract recently expired, traveled to Belgium earlier this week to negotiate with the club.
However, according to France Football, N’Guemo was unable to reach an agreement with the management of Standard Liège, who finished second in last season’s Jupiler Pro League. As a result, the 28-year-old remains without a club and is continuing his search for a new challenge.
Should no offers materialize soon, N’Guemo may follow in the footsteps of fellow midfielder Alou Diarra and return to training with his former club, FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
