Jorge Mendes, the agent of Lamine Yamal, has confirmed that the Spanish attacker of Moroccan and Equitorial Guinean heritage will sign a new contract with FC Barcelona.
The 17-year-old has already made a huge impact on the team in the ongoing season as well as the Spanish national team, and this La Liga campaign has seen him contribute five goals and ten assists for the Azulgranas.
With a new offer expected to be signed, Yamal’s new contract will run until 2030 and will include a substantial pay rise to reflect his growing importance to the team and end the hopes of some potential suitors.
Following a meeting with Barcelona’s board in Lisbon, Mendes stated, “Lamine Yamal will sign a new deal at Barca, for sure. That’s guaranteed”.
During the summer transfer window, PSG made a huge offer to sign Lamine Yamal from Barcelona, but the offer was rejected by the Catalan Club.
