Lamine Yamal reportedly plans private jet trip and Paris celebration ahead of Ballon d’Or ceremony

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has reportedly arranged a private jet for his family and close friends to attend Monday’s 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London, with plans for a celebration in Paris should he win the prestigious individual award.

According to Spanish journalist Víctor Navarro, the 19-year-old winger has organised travel arrangements for his entourage ahead of the ceremony at the London Palladium on October 26. The reported plans also include a party in the French capital with his team and close associates if he is crowned the world’s best player.

However, the arrangements do not confirm that Yamal expects to win, with the Barcelona forward facing competition from several leading players, including Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.

Yamal is among the leading contenders after another impressive period with Barcelona and Spain, but the final decision will be revealed during Monday’s ceremony.

Before travelling to London, Yamal faces another major occasion with Barcelona as they prepare to host Real Madrid in Sunday’s El Clásico at Camp Nou.

The fixture represents a significant test for Hansi Flick’s side, with the winger expected to attract considerable attention ahead of the individual awards ceremony the following evening.

Yamal reportedly made similar preparations last year, when he was among the contenders for the Ballon d’Or but ultimately finished behind Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé.

This time, the teenager will hope to turn his nomination into the biggest individual honour of his career.

While his reported travel and celebration plans have generated discussion, the outcome remains uncertain. Yamal must first navigate the Clásico before discovering whether Monday night brings the recognition he is seeking.
