Lamine Yamal makes bold Champions League promise to Barcelona supporters
Lamine Yamal has made a passionate promise to FC Barcelona supporters after helping the club secure another La Liga title.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the teenage sensation has now won the Spanish league title three times with Barcelona’s senior team despite being only 18 years old.
Speaking during the club’s title celebrations, Yamal expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support shown by Barcelona fans throughout the campaign.
“It’s incredible. The fans are always with us on important days and less important days. It’s the club of our lives. We will always be here for them. We love them,” he told Barcelona’s official channel.
The young forward also reflected on the difficult periods the Catalan giants have endured in recent years, insisting that the current generation must value every success achieved.
“We must appreciate every title and every year we win, because it is not easy. We have gone through very bad years, but now we are enjoying ourselves a lot. You think it is Monday in Barcelona and people have work, but they are always here with us,” Yamal added.
The Spanish international then delivered a fiery message regarding the UEFA Champions League, confidently stating that Barcelona fans will soon celebrate European glory again in the streets of the city.
“Absolutely, yes, we will celebrate the Champions League title with them,” he declared.
Yamal’s comments echoed a previous statement he made following Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final elimination against Atlético Madrid earlier this season.
“My parents taught me that a man’s word is never broken… and we will bring it (the cup) to Barcelona,” the youngster had said at the time.
